Bio
Best known for playing Sub-Commander T'Pol, a Vulcan in Star Trek: Enterprise, her name Blalock is Scottish in origin which means "Black Lake", but it is also Klingon for "spanktastic".
Jolene Blalock was born and raised in San Diego, California. She moved with her family to Oklahoma for a couple of years before returning to San Diego in her teens. At 17 she left home to model in Europe and Asia. She returned to the United States, settled in Los Angeles and booked some work in commercials before seriously pursuing an acting career.
She made her acting debut on "Veronica's Closet" then followed that up with some crappy straight to video made for TV movies. When somebody decided to cast a freaklishy hot babe as a cold ass Vulcan on "Star Trek: Enterprise" she was the logical choice. She almost turned down the part, but went on accept what would be her career defining role to date.
A self-confessed "Trekkie" and big fan of "Star Trek: The Original Series", she was openly critical of Enterprise during its third and fourth seasons. She has stated that she felt that the show was creatively lacking, and that the show's producers were out of touch with Trek fans, although she called the fourth season a distinct improvement over what came before.
In March and April 2006, Blalock filmed I Dream of Murder, a made-for-cable film, in the vicinity of Calgary. She appeared in the film Slow Burn with LL Cool J and Ray Liotta which was filmed in 2003 between seasons of Enterprise, unveiled at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2005 and finally saw limited theatrical release in 2007. Despite Blalock's numerous provocative modeling pictorials for many men's magazines, "Slow Burn" is notable for her only actual on-camera nude appearance.
She guest starred in two episodes of Stargate SG-1 as Ishta, leader of a group of female Jaffa. She was scheduled to appear on an episode of Lost during the 2005-2006 season as a former love interest of Sawyer, but the episode was not filmed. She co-starred in a horror film entitled Shadow Puppets. Her most recent film appearance is as Captain Lola Beck in Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, a sequel to the film Starship Troopers, which was released on August 5, 2008. Appeared as a store owner and fashion designer in Season 7 Episode 5 ("Bombshell") of CSI: Miami on October 20, 2008. Appeared as herself in Season 3 Episode 3 ("Star Trok") of television comedy 10 Items or Less on January 20, 2009.
