Bio
You may not know her by name, but certainly by body. This Norwegian model has been in Sports Illustrated's Swim Suit Issue, as well as several layouts in men's magazines such as Maxim and FHM (UK). If you look up "Hot Swedish Chick" in the dictionary, it won't be there because dictionaries don't work like that. But if they did, it would feature a picture of her.
Vendela was born in Stockholm, Sweden, a place known for attractive blonde women. Yet Vendela was so attractive that she stood out from her already incredibly attractive countrywomen. When she was 18, she moved to Italy to pursue a career in modeling and won a contract with Elizabeth Arden. Then much like Vito Corleone, she left Italy to make a name for herself in the United States.
This proved to be an excellent move, as her career blew up. She began representing companies such as Revlon, Lay's, Diesel, and Victoria's Secret to name a few. She's also been on the cover of several magazines, as well as a spot in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She then ventured into acting, taking a role in the unnecessary third installment of the Batman series, Batman and Robin. Luckily for her, her part was small enough to not receive the shame and embarrassment that went along with starring in the film.
In 1996, she married Norwegian politician Olaf Thommessen, and changed her name to Vendela Maria Kirsebom Thommessen, in what was clearly a challenge to tabloids to find space to run articles about her. The couple divorced in 2007, after eleven years of marriage and two daughters. Today Vendela is still very active in the international model community, and as many models do, acts as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, her attractiveness easing the blow of poverty worldwide.
